一、 Brief Introduction基本情况
The Higher Education in Cyprus can be divided into two types: public
school and private school.
塞浦路斯高等教育分公立与私立两种。
The University of Cyprus is the only public university in Cyprus,
mainly taught in Greek. This university only enrolls a small number
of overseas students, and they will take a strict exam for the enrollment.
塞浦路斯大学(University of Cyprus)是全国唯一的一所公立大学，主要以希腊语授课，以招收本国学生为主，只招收少量外国学生。外国学生入学需通过严格考试。
The most private higher education schools are mainly engaging in the
two-year college education, the fewer has the four-year degree program.
Some of the private schools’ enrollment is focused on the overseas
students. But the school scale and the quality are different from
each other. In the year of 2000, Education Evaluation and Quality
Identify Committee was established in Cyprus, it began to evaluate
the majors of the private schools.
塞浦路斯多数私立高等学校以专科教育为主（学制两年），少数有本科教育（学制四年）。其中部分私立高等学校以招收外国学生为主，有的全为外国学生。塞浦路斯私立高等学校的办学规模、质量不一。2000年,塞浦路斯成立了“教育评估与质量鉴定委员会”，开始对私立学校所设专业进行评估。
According to the rules of Cyprus’s law, it’s not allowed the overseas
students to work; the transgressor will be repatriated to his original
country.
根据塞浦路斯法规，禁止外国留学生打工，违反者将被遣返。
