According to statistics
from the Ministry of Education, the number of students going study
abroad has been rising dramatically. Due to the lack of information
of the foreign universities, most of the students turn to agencies
for study abroad to get paid information. The proclamation of Foreign
Universities & Colleges Recommended by Ministry of Education is
a very important and effective act to protect the interests of students
going study abroad, to strengthen the supervision of the agencies
for study abroad, and to standardize the study abroad activities.
Most of the universities and colleges recommended here are provided
by education authorities of each county, and approved by the Education
Ministry of the country. Foreign Digital Library will update the list
regularly, in order that we can provide the real situation of the
foreign universities and colleges.
教育部指出，近年来，我国自费出国留学人数显著增加，由于对国外学校情况缺乏了解，不少人出国留学依靠自费出国留学中介机构提供信息服务。公布国外学校名单，是教育部为切实保护留学人员利益，加强对自费留学中介活动的监管，规范自费出国留学活动而采取的一项重要举措。
这次所公布的部分国外学校名单，主要由各国教育权威机构提供，这些学校均经过所在国教育主管部门认可。为了及时准确地反映国外学校的实际情况，教育部将定期对所公布的国外学校名单进行修改和调整。其他国家学校名单也将陆续公布。
